What to expect?

With anything in the gaming world, it's good to keep expectations low and be pleasantly surprised when the big shit happens. When it comes to the Series X, Xbox has been on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to delighting us. During the 2019 Video Game Awards, they shocked everyone by showing their new console way before Sony. That was great, but then they came through with their last showcase promising Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay and gave us squat -- leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth. However, that could all change with tomorrow's showcase.

Two things that are hopeful bets: Halo Infinite gameplay and Xbox's second console for this next generation (speculated to be Series S).

We have barely seen anything from Halo Infinite, but Xbox tweeted early today promising us the first look at the campaign's gameplay! Rest assured, Ian, your cries for Infinite gameplay have been heard.

As for the second console, Playstation showed off their top-of-the-line disc version and a disc-less version at their last showcase and it's rumored Xbox has similar plans. A disc-less future is on the horizon, there is no doubt about that. Hell, even if you buy a game's disc, you still have to download it (like, the entire game). But with Xbox's game streaming service xCloud releasing this year, it's very likely they could be announcing, not only a smaller disc-less version, but a small dongle like device only meant for streaming games like Google Stadia.

As far as other games, Xbox has been buying up studios left and right for a few years now, many of which haven't said what they were working on just yet. Also, get ready for some huge announcements for GamePass -- whether that be new games coming now, at launch, or new features!
